Murfreesboro-raised in an entrepreneurial family, Christi Powers is now driving the expansion of Homes of Tennessee and Luxury Homes of Tennessee in Murfreesboro.
“I am thrilled to bring our firm to this great city,” says Christi. “Our model is improving the experience for clients, providing them with choice, and elevating our agent’s careers.” She is thankful to be in real estate during a time of growth and opportunity. “My goal is to help people accomplish their financial and family goals through real estate,” says Christi, who enjoys helping agents and taking care of clients. “I love my career. Guiding people through the process of buying and selling a home, by taking the time to get to know our clients, their needs and what’s important to them.”
Powers truly enjoys people. She’s very friendly and outgoing. She loves spending time with old friends and meeting new friends – “Often, our clients turn into friends!”
Real estate is often the most significant investment people make in their lives. “Giving them my full attention to make the process smooth and seamless is my top priority,” says Christi.
Nathan Throneberry was her mentor. “He taught me how to ask questions that helped me best meet my client’s needs,” said Powers. “He taught me the importance of being knowledgeable, skillful, and prepared.”
She became an estate agent after working at Regions Bank, where she quickly worked her way to the position of Branch Manager. She also taught for several years at Providence Christian Academy. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Mobile, a private, Baptist university located in Mobile, Alabama.
Both her father and brother are successful entrepreneurs; actually, there is a long history of it in her family. Her brother just opened the popular Brass Horn coffee shop. She understands customer service, but she also understands community service. In her twenties, she worked at a nonprofit in Haiti and lived there for about six months.
“My husband and I are foster parents,” said Powers. “I have the four most amazing kids in the world, ages ten, eight, five, and two. We go to The Experience Community Church.” In her downtime, she enjoys hiking, climbing, and going to the lake with her family.
Thankful to be able to raise her family here, she is often inviting others to enjoy this great city, too. It is a place where friends, family, and kids can gather and enjoy life together. She now looks forward to establishing Homes of Tennessee and Luxury Homes of Tennessee in Murfreesboro.
